November 4 - 19, 2011 From "The Gardener" by Tagore, the Spanish artist José Luis Seara explores an interesting combination of his paintings of nature with a light installation, creating an evocative and poetic atmosphere close to the text of the Indian writer.
José Luis Álvarez Seara is a Spanish artist who has been involved in different artistic expressions since 1975. With a wide variety of painting techniques, Seara has participated in numerous exhibitions both at national and international level (XV Bienal de Cerveira, Portugal 2009; Contemporary art Museum in Salvador de Bahia, Brasil 2004; Art Action Field Kodra, Greece 2003; MIART, Italy 2001). However, Seara´s versatility in composition goes beyond the traditional art form of painting, leading him to be also involved in cinema, having participated in various Spanish films as art director, propmaster, etc.
In this exhibition, Seara explores an interesting combination of his natural vegetation paintings and an innovative lighting installation. The enchanted ambiance allows the visitor to discover how night looks like in Seara´s garden, a garden looked after and inspired by an eternal Gardener: Tagore´s words mingle with Seara´s leaves in perfect harmony.
